Resolv

Activating new users and driving USR adoption through DeFi dashboard design

Role — Freelance Product Designer
Overview
Resolv set out to accelerate adoption of its delta-neutral stablecoin, USR, by making decentralized finance accessible to a broader audience. The project required a comprehensive redesign of Resolv’s dashboards and marketing assets, with the goal of activating new users and driving engagement with USR and related DeFi activities.
Key results
Enhanced stickiness to the DeFi protocol
Attracted both experienced users and newcomers to the platform
Delivered the project quickly
High satisfaction with both the end product and process
Approach
Brought in as a freelance designer, I partnered closely with Resolv’s product and marketing teams to deliver a unified experience.
Ran discovery to understand users and how they use Resolv’s products.
Defined the core problems and mapped key flows and information hierarchy.
Explored layouts quickly and built a reusable UI toolkit.
Reviewed designs with stakeholders, then refined interactions and handed off final assets.
Challenge
The primary challenge was balancing complex DeFi functionality with accessibility for users of varying technical expertise. DeFi interfaces often prioritize feature density over usability, creating barriers to adoption.
Constraints
Explain two tokens on one screen without cognitive overload.
Keep institutional‑grade data while still feeling retail‑friendly.
Make 70+ earnings activities and points rules scannable.
Surface retroactive rewards and risk/return transparently (“You’ve already earned X”).
Solution
My approach focused on delivering a visual system that snaps well between advanced, institutional, Degen, and beginner-grade investors.
Key features
Unified dashboard to see and manage all holdings in one place.
Clear tracking of earnings, APRs, and rewards over time.
One‑click actions to buy, stake, swap, and earn points.
Rich visuals and tooltips that explain positions and teach new users as they go
Progress and reward indicators that encourage ongoing participation.
